Description

The Project Engineer will play a key role in managing commercial interiors projects in the North Bay region. This role involves coordinating with teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring project goals are met effectively.

Our client is a growing commercial General Contractor with 40 employees in the north Bay Area. The team prides themselves on delivering high-end tenant improvement and ground up construction projects while maintaining a family-oriented culture. The team enjoys a laid-back environment, strong work-life balance, and the opportunity to work on some of the region's most exciting projects while strengthening client partnerships. The team are currently expanding the Project Management team due to very healthy backlog, and are looking to hire a Project Engineer. Description

  • Assist with project management activities for commercial tenant improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Assist in creation and management of project documentation, including schedules and budgets.
  • Assist in resolving on-site issues and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Assist with procurement, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project closeout activities
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations on all projects.
  • Manage procurement and delivery of materials to project sites.
  • Assist with quality control processes to meet project standards.

Profile

A successful Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field
  • 2+ years commercial construction experience, either at a General Contractor or trade contractor
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Viewpoint, and MS Office suite
  • OSHA Certified strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
