Description
- Support Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and internal project teams to maintain project schedules.
- Track project progress, budgets, procurement activities, and material deliveries.
- Assist with change orders, cost tracking, meeting minutes, and project reporting.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Attend project meetings and assist in resolving technical issues and coordination challenges.
- Support quality control, site safety initiatives, and project closeout activities.
Profile
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role within commercial construction.
- Knowledge of commercial construction processes, project sequencing, and construction documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, clients, design teams, and field personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction project management software.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a genuine desire to develop within the construction industry.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
