Project Engineer
Our client is a growing General Contractor in Ohio. With a growing division in their K-12 Education project team, they are looking for someone to come in with diversified experience to help lead and grow this division. Job Description
The Project Engineer will be required to lead or assist in:
- Providing project leadership and establishing, implementing, and supporting a proactive project safety culture
- Managing the development and review of bid packages to procure competitive subcontract proposals
- Managing job-site subcontractor meetings to ensure that the project goals are met
- Reviewing monthly invoices and overseeing documentation and approval needed to ensure timely funding for the project
- Leading the management of cost reporting including but not limited to contracts, purchase orders, and scope revisions to achieve defined project goals
- Ensuring overall financial health of the project and project forecasts
- Representing our client in the subcontract negotiations

The Successful Applicant
The Project Engineer will need:
- 1+ years of commercial construction experience
- Prior experience working on K-12 Education projects
- Working knowledge of construction technology and details
- Construction Management degree or its equivalent in experience
- Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
- Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
