Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

The Process Professional - Operational Readiness Execution supports the Operational Readiness Manager by driving structured execution of the Warehouse and Intralogistics operational readiness workstream for the automated warehouse. The role maintains the integrated readiness tracker, follows up with track leads, monitors schedule and readiness health, prepares governance inputs, coordinates readiness time on systems during testing, and builds the handover evidence needed for safe, compliant transition to ramp-up and steady-state operations. This is an execution-control and readiness-integration role. It does not own the program strategy, budget, final go/no-go decision, or organizational readiness accountability; those remain with the OR Manager and site leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Drive structured execution of the Warehouse and Intralogistics operational readiness workstream.
  • Maintain the integrated readiness tracker and follow up with track leads.
  • Monitor schedule and readiness health.
  • Prepare governance inputs and coordinate readiness time on systems during testing.
  • Build the handover evidence needed for safe, compliant transition to ramp-up and steady-state operations.
  • Create alignment across Operations, QA, IT/OT, Validation, Maintenance, Automation, Supply Chain, and vendors.
  • Support training readiness, knowledge transfer, and readiness coaching.
  • Protect GMP, safety, data integrity, validation, and business-continuity expectations in every readiness decision.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor"s degree in engineering, technology, supply chain, business operations, or related field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of manufacturing, process support, operational readiness, automation, warehouse, supply chain, or pharma/GMP operations experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional workstreams, schedules, action registers, readiness dashboards, governance packs, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • General knowledge of cGMP, QMS, change control, deviations/CAPA, validation lifecycle, data integrity, SOP/SI document control, and inspection-ready evidence expectations.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet or equivalent planning-tool capability.
  • Lean/problem-solving capability, root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong written communication, meeting facilitation, executive-summary preparation, and ability to influence across functions without direct authority.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

The work environment is on-site in Clayton, NC, during standard business hours. The role will initially be based in trailers on a construction site. This position offers the chance to be part of a state-of-the-art warehouse project supporting a significant expansion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
