Project Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support capital and process-related projects in a chemical manufacturing environment. This position will manage engineering projects from scope development through installation and completion while working closely with plant operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute capital projects
• Define project scope, budgets, schedules, and execution plans
• Track and manage project spending
• Coordinate engineering activities, equipment purchases, contractors, and installations
• Work closely with plant operations and maintenance teams
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues
• Support equipment startup and project implementation
• Ensure projects are completed safely, effectively, and within established requirements
• Maintain ownership of project schedules, costs, and deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required
• Approximately 5 years of process engineering and/or project engineering experience
• Chemical-process or chemical-manufacturing experience
• Capital-project management experience
• Experience managing budgets and project spending
• Hands-on plant or manufacturing experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Strong ownership and project-management abilities
