    Description

    Overview

    We are seeking a Product Engineer to support engineering projects within a miniature circuit breaker portfolio. This role focuses on driving product changes, supporting supplier and manufacturing transitions, and executing validation testing to ensure product performance and compliance.
    This is a fully onsite contract opportunity with strong extension potential and long-term growth prospects.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead product change initiatives including material selection, supplier transitions, and production line transfers
    • Support engineering changes across components such as sheet metal, molded plastics, stamped parts, and packaging
    • Develop and execute mechanical and electrical validation test plans
    • Ensure product designs meet applicable standards, codes, and engineering requirements
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, suppliers, and quality
    • Analyze test results and support design verification and validation processes
    • Contribute to continuous improvement in product performance, quality, and manufacturability

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
    • Experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar role
    • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product validation
    • Experience supporting product changes, supplier transitions, or production transfers
    • Ability to develop and execute test plans for validation and verification
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with electrical components or circuit protection products
    • Background in sheet metal, plastics, or stamped component manufacturing
    • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
