Overview
We are seeking a Product Engineer to support engineering projects within a miniature circuit breaker portfolio. This role focuses on driving product changes, supporting supplier and manufacturing transitions, and executing validation testing to ensure product performance and compliance.
This is a fully onsite contract opportunity with strong extension potential and long-term growth prospects.
Responsibilities
- Lead product change initiatives including material selection, supplier transitions, and production line transfers
- Support engineering changes across components such as sheet metal, molded plastics, stamped parts, and packaging
- Develop and execute mechanical and electrical validation test plans
- Ensure product designs meet applicable standards, codes, and engineering requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, suppliers, and quality
- Analyze test results and support design verification and validation processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement in product performance, quality, and manufacturability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- Experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar role
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product validation
- Experience supporting product changes, supplier transitions, or production transfers
- Ability to develop and execute test plans for validation and verification
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with electrical components or circuit protection products
- Background in sheet metal, plastics, or stamped component manufacturing
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
