    About the Job

    We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our self-perform construction team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the work-supporting field operations, coordinating materials and subcontractors, and helping drive projects forward safely, on schedule, and within budget.

    The Project Engineer provides technical and administrative support to project management and field leadership, with a strong focus on jobsite coordination, documentation, safety, scheduling, and material tracking.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Compile and organize daily safety documentation and permitting for self-perform crews and subcontractors
    • Support weekly subcontractor and project coordination meetings by preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items
    • Track material deliveries and maintain accurate on-site material inventories
    • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes and confirm material lead times
    • Assist with subcontractor drawing reviews and audits
    • Participate in jobsite safety walks and audits
    • Support weekly schedule updates and progress reporting
    • Review daily work progress and assist with issue resolution
    • Prepare internal and external project reports
    • Assist with permitting and compliance requirements as needed
    • Identify, track, and help mitigate project risks
    • Adhere to company and client quality, safety, and performance standards

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred
    • Experience in construction or industrial project environments preferred
    • Basic understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
    • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
    • Proficiency with construction-related software and Microsoft Office
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented
    • Ability to see the "big picture" while managing details in the field
