The Project Engineer will support Project Managers and Superintendents throughout all phases of construction, helping ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Client Details

A respected and growing commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join its construction operations team. This organization has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across healthcare, education, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, biotechnology, and public-sector markets. The company provides construction management, design-build, preconstruction, and general contracting services throughout the region.

Description

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and owners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track project progress and assist in maintaining construction schedules.
  • Support cost control efforts by monitoring budgets, procurement activities, and potential project risks.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Assist with quality control and ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Support closeout activities, punch list completion, and final project documentation.
  • Help maintain project records and reporting systems.

Profile

A successful Project Engineer should have:

  • Educational background in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
