Project Engineer
A respected and growing commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join its construction operations team. This organization has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across healthcare, education, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, biotechnology, and public-sector markets. The company provides construction management, design-build, preconstruction, and general contracting services throughout the region.
Job Description
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and owners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track project progress and assist in maintaining construction schedules.
- Support cost control efforts by monitoring budgets, procurement activities, and potential project risks.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Assist with quality control and ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements.
- Support closeout activities, punch list completion, and final project documentation.
- Help maintain project records and reporting systems.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Engineer should have:
- Educational background in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
