    Work Schedule

    Monday through Friday. 7.5-hour workday with .5-hour unpaid lunch. Paid for actual time worked; there are no paid vacation or sick days. During NYPA and Canals holidays, the business is closed, and no work is permitted.

    CWPO Engagement Requirements

    Candidates are REQUIRED to be local to the Tri-State area and in W2 tax status as an hourly paid employee of Service Provider. Fully remote positions are prohibited. Hybrid schedules are permissible with a minimum of 2 days on-site depending on assignment and can be fully on-site depending on business needs. Remote work privileges can be revoked at any time. NYPA does not provide laptops. Instead, NYPA provides desktops and dedicated workstations which candidates will remote into from their personal equipment on virtual days. If candidate does not have proper equipment, internet connection, or he/she is deemed to not work effectively from home, the hybrid privilege will be revoked. Vendors must disclose foreign national status and all Visas at the time of candidate submission. Additionally, a Benefits Waiver and Ethics Disclosure will be required of the candidate during onboarding.

    Project Overview

    In pursuit of NYPA's goal to support the development of clean energy technologies, this role will support AGILe lab projects supported by NYSERDA and other NYS stakeholders for helping achieve CLCPA goals.

    Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Works with limited/minimum supervision, in accordance with the Project Management procedure guidelines, to ensure that projects schedule and deliverables from both internal and external parties are successfully maintained
    • Performs a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarize with his/her work group, engineering methods, practices, and programs of the Authority. Tasks are limited in scope.
    • Reviews designs and bid evaluations as they relate to overall project completion and provides recommendations.
    • Assists NYPA Project Manager/Engineer in coordinating and reconciling review comments from members of other groups within the Authority to meet the timely project schedule.
    • Effectively engage and coordinate with internal and external parties to make sure the projects run smoothly and according to the planned schedule. This will include but are not limited to frequent follow-ups, scheduling calls, taking minute of meetings, and organizing the notes, files, and folders.
    • Performs cost studies and cost benefit analyses to ensure that the project activities are performed in the most cost effective manner in order to remain within budgetary and regulatory guidelines.
    • Generates and maintain/monitor project schedules.

    OVERVIEW OF ASSIGNMENT: Work with the project lead as well as outside contractors to support the overall project, administration and oversight.     Skills

    • PM experience.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of state-of-the-art project management and contract administration.
    • Ability to effectively use MS Excel, Word, Project and Outlook.
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
    • Excellent writing, verbal and written communication skills

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite

    • Project management experience

    Education & Certifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or Project Management related fields.
    • Minimum of 3 year of project management experience, preferably in the energy sector.
