    Description

    Qualifications:

    • BSEE degree preferred
    • 5+ years of experience as Electrical Project Design Engineer
    • 5+ years of electrical project experience including design, troubleshooting, and commissioning
    • PLC Ladder Logic programming experience (Siemens and Rockwell preferred, 2+ years developing original programs not just maintenance)
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with circuit breakers, transformers, motor starters, contactors, relays, AC/DC inverters, braking resistors
    • Experience with overhead cranes, hoists, or material handling equipment
    • Ability to read and design single line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, interconnect, and conduit drawings
    • Strong understanding of electrical codes and ability to calculate wire sizes, drive sizes, braking resistors, transformers for systems up to 800V DC and 4160V AC
    • Excellent customer relations attitude with solution-oriented mindset
    • Willingness to travel 10-15% domestic and international
    Responsibilities:
    • Function as lead electrical/software engineer at site/office and provide technical supervision to other electrical engineers, technicians, and craft workers
    • Troubleshoot and update/modify computer programs such as PLC code and HMI programs that automate specific business processes
    • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and solve problems by working with engineers, service technicians, and cross-functional teams
    • Lead Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) with customers, going through procedures step-by-step to prove equipment works as intended
    • Calculate wire sizes, drive sizes, braking resistors, transformers, contactors, and overload protection using appropriate electrical codes and standards
