Description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $75.00hr - $80.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience helping complex capital equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and software elements containing a large number of SKUs.
  • Proven record of bringing products to market acting as project manager on behalf of Field Service/Service Operations.
  • Experience working in help of a Field Service and/or Technical Help organization.
  • Experience influencing product development on behalf of service, familiarity with Design For Serviceability/Maintenance (DFS/DFM) values and practices.
  • Ability to promote ideas persuasively, influence others, and build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal partners and business managers.
  • An autonomous thinker willing and able to express and help a point of view.
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively, linking the dots when others cannot.
  • Able to make the leap from information to insight.
  • Quick intelligence and ability to respond fast to issues and questions.
  • Ability to organize, summarize, clarify, and communicate ideas simply, succinctly, and accurately to engineering and non-technical audiences and leadership levels.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations CFR & ISO preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide functional, strategic, and tactical leadership to project teams accountable for new product introductions (NPI) or ongoing product sustainment on behalf of the GSBU.
  • Ensure appropriate planning, communication, risk mitigation, and business unit readiness in alignment with product development and commercialization target dates.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and communicate status and risks cross-functionally to stakeholders.
  • Integrate with Engineering during product development to drive service requirements upstream, impacting product design and the ability to efficiently install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the product.
  • Ensure that domestic and global service strategies, assumptions, and business opportunities are measured and periodically reviewed throughout project execution.
  • Maintain a portfolio of working projects for assigned program, organize and run design review meetings to leadership teams.
  • Establish partnership and communication with internal and external business units, bridging development processes, approaches, and cultures.
  • Work with partner groups to gain alignment and help to achieve project priorities.
  • Coordinate staff planning, organizational design, and strategy to anticipate and ensure readiness for future business needs.
  • Manage continuous improvement efforts regarding project management and product development efforts.
  • Apply thorough and detailed knowledge of best practice engineering techniques, including effective approaches to new products or existing products.
  • Develop cutting edge engineering capabilities and methods.
  • Model best practices in all aspects of design and completion.
  • Prioritize multiple assignments autonomously and effectively.
  • Influence others on engineering design and provide technical leadership.
  • Act as an effective presenter and meeting facilitator, tailoring communication to meet the needs of the audience.
  • Proactively seek and communicate information to inform deadline management and provide early warning of risks.
  • Orchestrate approaches to establishing root cause and problem solving on complex, multi-dimensional issues.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with medical devices and/or robotics preferred.
  • PMP or other project management certification preferred.

Qualification And Education:

Four-year degree (Bachelor's degree or global equivalent) in Engineering or a scientific field required; business, finance or other related field will be considered in conjunction with experience.
