As a Project Costing Analyst, you’ll estimate custom dollies and racks with precision—balancing materials, labor, tooling, and vendor inputs to produce competitive quotes.

    Role Highlights

    • Translate project specifications and drawings into accurate, defensible estimates for fabricated metal dollies and racks.
    • Work directly with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to capture scope and refine details.
    • Assemble and deliver thorough client quotations within required timelines.
    • Review subcontractor proposals, evaluate fit, and negotiate pricing as needed.
    • Research current pricing for materials, labor, tooling, and equipment to validate assumptions.
    • Build and maintain a historical cost repository per established procedure for analysis and future bids.
    • Support teams during design and manufacturing to keep budgets aligned with execution realities.
    • Stay informed on market trends and price movements to sharpen estimating accuracy.
    • Partner with sales to craft strategies and proposals that win work.
    • Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Must-Haves

    • Hands-on estimating experience in a metal fabrication setting.
    • Knowledge of fabrication methods, materials, and cost factors.
    • Competence with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Strong mathematical reasoning and analytical depth.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
    • High attention to detail with uncompromising accuracy.
    • Clear communicator and capable negotiator.
    • Self-driven with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Excellent organization and time management.

    Proficiencies

    • Manufacturing environment experience
