    Work Schedule

    Monday through Friday. 7.5-hour workday with .5-hour unpaid lunch. Paid for actual time worked; there are no paid vacation or sick days. During NYPA and Canals holidays, the business is closed, and no work is permitted. NYPA requires a hybrid schedule of a minimum of 3 days on-site, up to including fully on-site depending on department requirements.

    CWPO Engagement Requirements

    Candidates are REQUIRED to be local to the Tri-State area and in W2 tax status as an hourly paid employee of Service Provider. Fully remote positions are prohibited. Hybrid schedules are permissible with a minimum of 3 days on-site depending on assignment and can be fully on-site depending on business needs. Remote work privileges can be revoked at any time. NYPA does not provide laptops. Instead, NYPA provides desktops and dedicated workstations which candidates will remote into from their personal equipment on virtual days. If candidate does not have proper equipment, internet connection, or he/she is deemed to not work effectively from home, the hybrid privilege will be revoked. Vendors must disclose foreign national status and all Visas at the time of candidate submission. Additionally, a Benefits Waiver and Ethics Disclosure will be required of the candidate during onboarding.

    Project Overview

    The Project Coordinator supports the daily activities of the Business Unit and contributing to the successful implementation of projects and initiatives. Under the guidance of the Business Unit Director, the Project Coordinator assists in daily activities , project planning, coordination, documentation, and communication. This position offers an opportunity for growth and learning within the organization.

    Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Documentation and reporting: Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and project timelines/schedules. Ensure timely reporting of project milestones to stakeholders.
    • Communication and collaboration: Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional team members, stakeholders, and vendors. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
    • Quality assurance: Monitor project deliverables and ensure they meet defined quality standards. Assist in conducting quality reviews and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
    • Resource coordination: Assist in resource allocation and tracking. Coordinate with different teams and departments to ensure the availability of resources required for the project.
    • Research and analysis: Conduct research (quantitative & qualitative), under management guidance, on project-related topics and contribute to data analysis for informed decision-making.
    • Content development and management: Assist internal stakeholders to develop and manage content for business-related intranet sites. This includes updating content, ensuring its relevance and accuracy, and organize information in a user-friendly manner.
    • Ad hoc support: Assist the Business Unit head and Project Manager with various tasks, such as preparing presentations, organizing project-related events, managing project-related documentation, calendar and travel requests.

    • Proficient in Microsoft office programs including Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
    • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
    • Organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and keep project documentation and files well-organized.
    • Attention to detail: Meticulous in documenting project information, tracking progress, and identifying potential issues.
    • Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and make recommendations for resolutions when faced with challenges or obstacles.
    • Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality. Respect for privacy and the ability to adhere to confidentiality protocols and policies.
    • Analytical and Quantitative Aptitude: Demonstrates the ability to analyze data, perform basic quantitative analysis, and interpret information to support decision-making. Willingness to learn and further develop analytical skills.
    • Research: The ability to gather relevant information and analyze data to support project-related activities and present research findings in a clear and concise manner.
