JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Project Coordinator
Location: White Plains Office (Hybrid – Minimum 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $37/hr (W2)
Anticipated Start Date: Immediate
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7.5-hour workday with 0.5-hour unpaid lunch
- Paid for actual hours worked
- No paid vacation or sick days
- Business closed during NYPA and Canals holidays (no work permitted)
- Hybrid schedule requires a minimum of 3 days onsite (may be fully onsite depending on business needs)
CWPO Engagement Requirements
- Candidates must be local to the Tri-State area
- Must be in W2 tax status as an employee of the Service Provider
- Fully remote positions are prohibited
- Hybrid work privileges may be revoked at any time
- NYPA provides desktop workstations; candidates must have proper home equipment and internet for hybrid days
Project Overview
The Project Coordinator will support Project Delivery initiatives within the portfolio under Project Luminate. This role focuses on governance, reporting, and providing data to enable effective management decision-making. Both Agile and Waterfall methodologies may be utilized.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple projects and lead small projects as assigned
- Serve as liaison between Business and IT in support of the Project Manager
- Support IT workstreams using PMO processes, procedures, and tools
- Monitor project schedules, deliverables, and milestones
- Track progress and report updates to Project/Program Managers
- Identify risks or issues that may impact delivery timelines
- Support governance and IT PMO documentation requirements
- Coordinate vendor activities and internal IT team collaboration
- Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and correspondence
- Promote communication among project teams and stakeholders
- Support both Agile and Waterfall project delivery frameworks
- Follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution
Required Skills
- Understanding of SDLC and IT project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Strong project coordination skills including:
- Organization and planning
- Daily standups
- Status reporting and data presentation
- Vendor coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in:
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- SharePoint (M365 tools)
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP and/or HCM systems or implementations
- Experience with Power BI
- Familiarity with DevOps tools
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical field required
- Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience coordinating IT projects in a matrixed environment
