Description

Job Title: Project CoordinatorJob Description

The Project Coordinator supports a single, ongoing construction project by managing materials, inventory, and logistics from purchase through final delivery to the job site. This role ensures that all construction materials, equipment, and components arrive on time, are accurately tracked, and are available when needed for each project phase. The Project Coordinator works closely with project managers, superintendents, field teams, suppliers, and vendors to maintain organized records, support scheduling and reporting, and uphold safety standards in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and organize construction materials upon delivery to the project site.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control of construction materials and components by project and phase.
  • Tag and identify project components such as valves, controllers, and equipment by project and phase.
  • Maintain inventory and QA/QC databases in Excel format, including OEM information such as manufacturer, model number, serial number, descriptions, and related data.
  • Coordinate and track material orders from purchase through final delivery to project sites.
  • Monitor shipment status, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to ensure materials arrive on time.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams regarding order status and project needs.
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries to align with construction schedules and project milestones.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and supplies are onsite when required for each phase of construction.
  • Resolve delivery issues, shortages, damaged materials, and other logistics-related challenges.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, deliveries, invoices, and project documentation.
  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to forecast upcoming material requirements.
  • Track lead times and proactively identify potential supply chain risks or delays.
  • Assist with project reporting, scheduling updates, and progress tracking.
  • Support additional onsite requirements as directed by project leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures while working in active construction environments.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with inventory control and inventory management in a construction or similar environment.
  • Ability to receive, organize, and handle construction materials safely and efficiently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for maintaining inventory and QA/QC databases.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for managing OEM information and project documentation.
  • Experience in construction logistics coordination, including scheduling and tracking deliveries.
  • Ability to coordinate material procurement and tracking from purchase through final delivery.
  • Skill in vendor and supplier management, including regular communication and issue resolution.
  • Experience in supply chain coordination and monitoring shipment status and lead times.
  • Ability to support project scheduling and provide project-related reporting and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills for managing purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices.
  • Comfort working in an active construction environment and adhering to safety procedures.
  • Willingness to comply with all PPE requirements without exception.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and dry weather.
  • Customer service mindset when interacting with internal project teams and external partners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting construction projects or field operations.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes related to materials and equipment.
  • Experience working closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams.
  • Background in documentation and reporting for construction or logistics projects.
  • Experience with scheduling tools or systems used in project support environments.

Work Environment

The Project Coordinator works primarily in and around an active construction site and associated office or job trailer. The role involves frequent interaction with deliveries, materials, and equipment, requiring consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety policies. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, wet, and dry conditions. The position involves regular use of computers and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to maintain inventory and QA/QC records, as well as frequent communication with suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams. The coordinator supports a single, ongoing project, balancing time between field-based material handling and office-based documentation, scheduling, and reporting.

This is a Contract position based out of West Memphis, AR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
