Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Project Coordinator (Piping) with 8 15 years of experience in project engineering or project coordination, preferably within the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in piping inspection and replacement coordination, Management of Change (MOC) documentation, P&ID redlining, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Scope of Work preparation. The candidate will coordinate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to develop project schedules, track costs and downtime, and ensure timely completion of piping inspection and replacement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate piping inspection programs and work with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize inspections.
- Review piping inspection reports and coordinate pipe replacement activities for pipes that fail inspection.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and land teams to schedule piping replacements.
- Conduct field walks and inspections to validate replacement scope and requirements.
- Prepare MOC documentation, including P&ID redlines, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Scope of Work.
- Coordinate with company engineers to support the MOC process and ensure documentation is submitted appropriately.
- Develop and maintain overall piping inspection and replacement schedules, including near-term and future replacement plans.
- Prepare and update management reports covering inspection progress, replacement status, schedule performance, actual and projected costs, downtime impact, and vendor inventory.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to align project priorities and execution plans.
- Support Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) activities, if required, to verify that piping replacements meet MOC requirements.
- Track project progress, identify schedule delays, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 8 15 years of relevant experience in project engineering or project coordination.
- Strong experience in upstream or midstream oil and gas projects.
- Hands-on experience coordinating piping inspections and replacement activities.
- Experience preparing MOC documentation, P&ID redlines, Bill of Materials, and Scope of Work.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Experience with project scheduling, cost tracking, status reporting, and downtime planning.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Upstream and Midstream Oil & Gas Industry.
- Oil and gas projects in West Texas and New Mexico.
- Piping inspection and replacement programs.
- Field inspections and scope validation.
- Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) support.
- Vendor inventory management and schedule tracking.
- Experience with ShawCor piping inspection programs or ExxonMobil projects.
Salary: $130,000 $140,000 per annum with benefits
