The Waldinger Corporation | Des Moines, Iowa Office

Great projects don't happen by accident. They happen because someone keeps every document, order, and deadline in line. As a Project Coordinator at The Waldinger Corporation, you'll be that person, helping our teams deliver projects on schedule, on budget, and in compliance. For more than 100 years, we've fabricated and installed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems our clients rely on, and we're looking for someone who can help keep that work moving.

It's a great fit for an organized, detail-minded professional with an accounting or project support background who enjoys being the person everyone counts on, and who wants to grow with a stable, well-established company.

    What You'll Own:

    • Project Documentation: Keep contracts, permits, drawings, specifications, and other key records organized and up to date.
    • Team Communication: Keep project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders informed about project updates and requirements.
    • Procurement and Logistics: Gather quotes, order materials, and coordinate deliveries so crews have what they need when they need it.
    • Project Support: Help the Project Manager monitor subcontractor work to make sure it meets contractual obligations.
    • Status Reporting: Prepare regular reports that highlight key wins, upcoming milestones, and any issues that need attention.
    • Budget Tracking: Track project expenses and budget variances, and keep the Project Manager updated on where things stand.

    What You Bring:

    • 3-5 years of accounting or project management support experience, preferably in the construction industry
    • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
    • No travel required, so you'll be based right here in the office

    • Health club reimbursement and a wellness plan with lifestyle spending account
    • Tuition reimbursement, continuing education, and clear advancement opportunities
