About Us

Solar Landscape is the leading commercial rooftop solar developer in the U.S. Only 4% of commercial rooftops host solar today — we’re changing that, fast. Commercial rooftop solar is the fastest, smartest way to build new clean power — delivering megawatts of generation in months, not years, and powering America’s energy and future right where it’s needed most. By turning rooftops into local power plants, we’re reshaping how — and how fast — energy gets built in the U.S.

Recognized as the #1 Distributed Generation Developer by New Project Media, the #1 National Commercial Rooftop Solar Developer by Solar Power World, and winner of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grand Prize for Clean Energy, Solar Landscape is defining the future of energy generation in America.

Headquartered in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Solar Landscape has offices in Chicago, Baltimore, and New York City and operates in over a dozen states nationwide.

We move fast, solve hard problems, and take our work seriously — but never ourselves. We value clear thinking, accountability, and execution. At the same time, we’re collaborative by default, and believe the best work happens when people enjoy working together. Our team is made up of smart, grounded people who show up for each other — whether that’s troubleshooting a system design or catching up over lunch.

If you’re looking to do meaningful work in a high-performance environment — and be part of the team reshaping how energy gets built in the U.S. — we’d love to meet you.

About The Role

Solar Landscape operates ~500 active commercial solar projects across an increasingly expanding pipeline, with new markets coming online and continued growth across the portfolio.

The Project Controls Analyst supports schedule integrity, risk reporting, and data management across an assigned set of markets within this portfolio, working in Dynamics 365 as the system of record and MS Project for detailed PM-level schedules.

This is a portfolio-scheduling role focused on breadth across many concurrent projects. You will sit within the PMO and partner daily with Project Managers, Project Developers, and Engineering leads.

Responsibilities

Schedule Governance

  • Update and maintain current schedules in Dynamics 365 across your assigned markets, ensuring schedules reflect committed milestones, FNTP dates, and confidence levels
  • Generate and maintain detailed project-level schedules in MS Project for PMs — Gantt schedules with sub-milestones used as the PM working layer
  • Track overdue milestones across your portfolio, generate reporting on patterns, and follow up with PMs, PDs, and Engineers to drive closeout
  • Maintain schedule hygiene by archiving schedules for On-hold, To-Be-Cancelled, and Cancelled projects on a regular cadence so the active portfolio view stays decision-grade

Risk Management

  • Support the project risk register across your assigned markets: review open risks, flag risks for projects with milestones in the next 30/60/90 days, and ensure mitigation plans are documented and tracked
  • Participate in recurring risk register check-ins with PMs, capture mitigation status, and surface risk patterns for PMO reporting
  • Translate risk register data into forward-looking reporting for Operations Leadership

Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain data integrity for schedule and risk fields across your assigned markets in Dynamics 365
  • Produce regular schedule reports, look-ahead views, and overdue-milestone summaries for PMs and PMO leadership
  • Support analytics initiatives across the function

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of scheduling, planning, or production-control experience in construction, EPC, renewable energy, manufacturing, or a similar operations-driven environment
  • Experience working with a CRM or enterprise system (Dynamics 365, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for scheduling, planning, or operations data
  • Demonstrated experience managing schedules or production plans across multiple concurrent projects, lines, or units — portfolio breadth rather than deep single-project focus
  • Proficiency in MS Project and strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, structured data)
  • Strong communication and follow-through — partnering with PMs, engineers, and developers to close out open items
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field
  • 5–10% travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in energy, EPC, utilities, or high-volume operations environments with milestone-driven workflows
  • Power BI, Power Query, or similar for reporting and analytics
  • Certifications: PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), CAPM, or Microsoft Project certification
