We’re searching for a talented and driven Project Controllerto join our team!
Your Day-to-Day:
Billing & Revenue Management
- Prepare and submit monthly owner pay applications in accordance with GMP contract requirements.
- Compile and reconcile supporting documentation including schedule of values (SOV), change orders, lien waivers, and certified payroll (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with contractual billing terms and conditions.
- Monitor billing status and follow up on outstanding receivables.
Cost Control & Financial Reporting
- Monitor project costs against GMP budget and schedule of values.
- Reconcile committed costs (subcontracts, purchase orders) to budget.
- Assist in cost forecasting and monthly job cost reporting.
- Support project manager with cost-to-complete analysis.
- Review subcontractor pay applications for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Process subcontractor payments in coordination with Accounts Payable.
GMP & Contract Compliance
- Track contingencies, allowances, and general conditions in accordance with GMP terms.
- Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support internal and external audits related to project financials.
- Maintain accurate project financial records and contract documentation.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Project Managers and Operations to review financial performance.
- Participate in monthly project review meetings.
- Provide financial data and reporting to leadership as requested.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 8+ years of project accounting experience
- Previous experience in GMP contract environments and large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of AIA billing formats (G702/G703).
- Experience preparing owner pay applications and managing subcontractor billings.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
