Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Controller to support project execution through cost controlling, financial analysis, forecasting, and project-data management. The Project Controller will partner with Commercial Project Managers, Project Managers, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Supply Chain teams, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate project financials in SAP and related controlling systems.
Job Responsibilities
· Support project cost setup and maintenance in SAP, including project structures, WBS alignment, cost plans, and project master data.
· Prepare and maintain Estimate at Completion (EAC) calculations, analyzing actual costs, commitments, estimates to complete, budget variances, and forecast changes.
· Identify cost overruns, savings opportunities, incorrect postings, budget shifts, risks, and required financial adjustments.
· Maintain approved cost plans and EAC updates in SAP and related controlling systems.
· Support monthly forecasting of project costs, revenue, gross profit, and cost-to-complete.
· Coordinate financial reviews and follow-up actions with Project Managers, Commercial Project Managers, and project stakeholders.
· Support accruals, provisions, change documentation, ad-hoc reporting, and project closeout activities.
· Drive process optimization and standardization efforts to improve efficiency and data quality.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· Experience in Project Controls, Cost Controls, Project Finance, Cost Engineering, or a similar project-based finance role.
· Strong knowledge of cost planning, forecasting, Estimate at Completion (EAC), variance analysis, commitments tracking, and financial reporting.
· Strong SAP experience or comparable ERP/project controlling systems.
· Experience working with WBS structures, project cost data, and financial reconciliations.
· Demonstrated process improvement and continuous improvement experience.
· Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
· Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams.
· Experience with SAP Project System (SAP PS) or similar project-based ERP environments.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience within engineering, manufacturing, EPC, or other project-driven industries.
· Experience with Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, Power Query, or similar analytics tools.
This role is well suited for an experienced contractor who can quickly contribute in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
