Project Controller
Location: Hanover, MA 02339
Schedule: 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote
Salary: Up to $150,000
CFS is partnering with a growing construction-focused organization seeking an experienced Project Controller to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong project accounting, job costing, and construction industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial management of multiple construction projects
- Maintain and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Prepare and review Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
- Monitor job costing and track project profitability
- Partner with project managers to evaluate project performance and financial results
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Review contract billing, change orders, and revenue recognition
- Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and project accruals
- Identify financial risks and provide recommendations to improve project outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within the construction industry
- Strong experience with WIP reporting, job costing, and project accounting
- Understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting and construction financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working closely with project managers and operations teams
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
