    Project Civil Engineer, Land Development

    We are seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join an established multidisciplinary engineering consulting team in Salt Lake City. This position will lead site development projects from initial planning and design through permitting and construction.

    The ideal candidate will have experience delivering private commercial land development projects and the technical ability to manage grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and site infrastructure design. Experience with warehouse, distribution, industrial, ecommerce, mixed use, or similar development projects is strongly preferred.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage site and civil engineering projects from concept through completion
    • Prepare and oversee grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, erosion control, and infrastructure designs
    • Coordinate permitting and approval processes with local municipalities and reviewing agencies
    • Prepare technical plans, calculations, specifications, reports, and permit packages
    • Work directly with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies
    • Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and quality control requirements
    • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
    • Approximately six to eight years of site and civil engineering experience
    • Professional Engineer license strongly preferred
    • Private land development experience involving commercial, industrial, warehouse, distribution, mixed use, residential, or institutional projects
    • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, hydrology, hydraulics, erosion control, and permitting
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
    • Utah permitting or local land use experience preferred
    • Strong communication, project management, and client facing skills

    Relocation candidates with relevant land development experience will be considered.
