Project Assistant (Remote) – Healthcare IT / PMO Support
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract (08/31/2026 – 03/02/2027)
Pay Range: $25/hr - $30/hr.
We are seeking a Project Assistant to support a healthcare IT Project Management Office (PMO) team. This role will assist with the coordination and execution of Complex Change Requests (CCRs), helping ensure project timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communications, and documentation are effectively managed across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with project planning, coordination, and execution activities.
- Maintain project schedules, timelines, calendars, and task tracking systems.
- Coordinate meetings, document action items, and track follow-up activities.
- Assist with intake validation, project scoping, and deliverable management.
- Monitor project progress and escalate risks or issues when necessary.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Track project tasks and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Provide administrative and organizational support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Informatics, Operations, and Clinical Systems teams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business, Healthcare, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional business experience with participation on project teams.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Experience managing timelines, deliverables, meeting documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to track work in structured systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare operations, clinical systems, project coordination, change request coordination, or PMO environments.
- Familiarity with Epic workflows, ServiceNow, Clarity, Microsoft Project, or similar project tracking tools.
- Experience supporting workflow optimization, technology initiatives, or process improvement projects.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or digital health initiatives.
