JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Assistant supports the Fairweather Science team with all project support and logistical tasks for the business and projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the planning and execution of project activities, including scheduling, organization, and resource allocation.
- Maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes.
- Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting, ensuring expenses align with project goals.
- Help prepare project presentations and reports.
- Conduct research and gather data to support project initiatives and decision-making processes.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and other tasks as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
- Previous experience in a project coordination or administrative support role is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with high proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Compensation:
- Determined on employment based on skills and experience.
- Range: $25 - $35 per hour.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than forty pounds.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.
