Description

IDR is seeking a Project Analyst III to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Denver, CO. This role supports an IT organization within a large, mission-driven enterprise by helping ensure technology projects are delivered on time and within budget. You’ll partner closely with project and resource managers to provide financial insights, forecasting, and clear reporting that keeps stakeholders aligned.

Position Overview for the Project Analyst III:

  • Partner with project and resource managers to support the financial health of technology projects through forecasting, time approvals, and cost analysis
  • Track, forecast, and report on team hours and project expenses while proactively identifying and escalating invoicing or budget issues
  • Support day-to-day project execution by monitoring scope, change control, risks, action items, issues, and key decisions
  • Research, collect, and analyze project data to generate reports on budget status, forecasts, and key performance metrics, recommending process improvements
  • Facilitate team meetings and create well-organized presentations and documentation such as project concept documents, process flows, and schedules

Requirements for the Project Analyst III:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience)
  • 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, project support, coordination, or an analytical role
  • Strong understanding of IT systems and the project lifecycle
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of MS Project, Teams, and SharePoint preferred
