Senior Accountant
Pay Rate:$70,000–$85,000/year; Based on experience

Experience: Must have 4+ years of accounting experience
Skills: Strong financial statement preparation, budgeting, and Microsoft Excel skills required
Our growing client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the financial operations of a portfolio of properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis, budgeting, and collaborating with operations teams to support sound financial decision-making and organizational success.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
- Manage the financial activities of an assigned property portfolio
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly financial statements
- Monitor cash flow and support cash management activities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial reporting requirements
- Prepare financial reports, analyses, and supporting schedules
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls
- Analyze budget variances and present findings to management
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and cash flow projections
- Support property transitions, acquisitions, and special accounting projects
- Assist with audits and regulatory reporting
- Develop and improve accounting procedures and process documentation
- Collaborate with property management and leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
Qualifications for the role of Senior Accountant:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
- Experience in real estate or property management
- Experience with Entrata property management software
