The Opportunity
The company is looking for a Project Accountant who can step in and own the billing cycle with confidence. There is also a meaningful long-term growth path for the right candidate.
What You Will Do
Manage monthly progress billing on 15-20 lump-sum construction contracts plus service orders
Submit invoices to clients and upload supporting documentation to internal systems
Prepare trial balance and aging reports
Coordinate with field operations to collect percentage-of-completion data
Work with the estimating team to establish schedules of values, process change orders, and update progress tracking reports
Reconcile change orders back to the schedule of values
What We Are Looking For
2-3+ years of experience as a Project Accountant in construction (subcontracting preferred)
Hands-on experience with progress/percentage-completion billing and lien releases
Familiarity with schedules of values and change order accounting
Background in a prevailing wage or union-shop environment is a strong plus (plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler, roofing, or similar)
Experience with Viewpoint, Trimble, Oracle Tara, and/or Procore preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; Associate's degree with strong relevant experience considered
Collaborative, communicative, and comfortable in a fully open-concept office
Someone who takes ownership of their role and wants to grow with a company long-term
