Description
Project Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities for up to development projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle accounting for assigned construction projects
Review contractor invoices for accuracy and proper coding
Track job costs, commitments, and accrued expenses
Prepare loan draw support schedules and assist with lender submissions
Month end close, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
Prepare project-level financial statements and management reports
Partner with Development to understand project budgets and timelines
Assist with interim, quarter and year end audits, tax support, and lender reporting
Provide support and assistance to the shared services treasury and A/P teams as needed
Actively support continuous improvement and technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and ensure strong internal controls
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong US GAAP Foundation with a minimum of 2-5 years of real estate construction accounting experience
Yardi Voyager experience including Construction Manager module strongly preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Must be a detail-oriented, self-starter with good oral and written communication and strong time management skills.
Must be a team player willing to support and assist others when called upon.
