Project Accountant
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected construction company in Indianapolis seeking a Project Accountant. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working closely with project managers, tracking costs, and ensuring the financial success of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage project cost accounting, budgets, and variances
Prepare monthly project financial reports
Oversee AP/AR related to construction projects
Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and monitor profitability
Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–5 years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and billing practices
Proficiency with accounting software (Sage 300 CRE or similar preferred)
