    Description

Onsite in Connecticut. Open to candidates willing to relocate or take on a 6+ month assignment. CSS can provide support for housing, meal stipends, and travel to ease your transition.

    A day in the life

You start your shift on the press line, checking a progressive die slated for a high-priority run. You perform pre-run maintenance, confirm the tool is production-ready, and document Tool History and setup notes. Mid-morning, you fabricate a custom fixture and a gauge requested by the area supervisor. After lunch, you partner with a Senior Tool & Diemaker to introduce a new tool into the press area, collaborating on first-piece validation. A setup associate flags a forming issue, and you jump in to troubleshoot—then alert your supervisor about machine and tool maintenance needs. Before you clock out, you submit updates to job travelers for an operation change and help standardize a component in the tooling inventory.
