    Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – La Jolla, CA

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a progressive acute care environment. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who are passionate about delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while managing complex medical conditions and supporting patient recovery.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout hospitalization

    • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans

    • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed

    • Monitor patient progress and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention

    • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

    • Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations

    • Promote patient safety and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices

    • Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives

    • Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the care journey

    • Care for patients requiring advanced monitoring and specialized medical management

    Qualifications

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required based on role

    • Previous acute care, progressive care, or stepdown nursing experience preferred

    • Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
