    Description

    In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

    • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

    • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

    • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

    • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

    • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

    • Federal Work Study student may apply.

    • In good disciplinary standing.

    • Must be located in the U.S.

    Assist in foundational operations necessary to effectively run the Conservatory’s academic programs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Assist in foundational operations necessary to effectively run the Conservatory’s academic programs.

    Required Skills and Knowledge: 

    • Assist in facilitating academic event setup/breakdown and other related operations (e.g. equipment and technology setup, marketing efforts, coordination of ensuring event requirements are met) 
    • Assist in coordinating facility inventory and maintenance 
    • Assist in sending notifications to program participants and guest artists 
    • Assist in updating program materials 
    • Assist in hosting guest artists, particularly for special events 
    • Assist in departmental administrative operations for the Academic Affairs office, as needed

    Preferred Skills and Knowledge: 

    • Stagehand/instrument moving experience.

    Expected Hours Per Week:

    •  4-7 hours average; Can not exceed 10 hours per week.  

    Expected dates and times of shifts:

    •  Thursday weekly meeting (11am-12pm), Assignments completed onstudents time.  

    Hourly Rate: $16.45
