Description

Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Programming Assistant Manager who will lead and manage the Symitar development team to achieve company goals and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Management:

o Evaluate, coach, develop and motivate Symitar programming team.

o Work with the Programming Manager to recruit, hire, and coach staff.

o Serve as interim leader in the absence of the Programming Manager in providing leadership and direction for the department.

o Work with the Programming Manager to develop and review quality assurance standards and ensure adherence throughout the organization.

o Prioritize and document programming efforts and technical issues. Communicate with IT and Business stakeholders about requirements, status, issues, and opportunities as needed.

o Manage 3rd party vendors providing support, development, analysis, and consulting for core-related projects.

Development, Analysis, Support:

o Participate on project teams and provide programming and system analysis support.

o Serve as a technical resource to RCU Departments in defining technical requirements for business solutions.

o Supply technical support for issues relating to core system and enterprise applications.

o Make recommendations and provide leadership and IT analysis in solving business problems.

o Lead and execute complex IT projects, conversions, and cutovers upholding Credit Union uptime standards.

o Provide feedback and direction to the programming staff to ensure project completion and quality service standards are met.

o Draft technology plans and requirements for business needs.

IT Development and Security:

o Ensure proper security of all data housed in systems are being sent from and received by RCU staff to outside partners.

o Evaluate new technologies relating to core business functions and recommend courses of action.

o Respond to audit items and remediate outstanding concerns.

o Evaluate and analyze new and existing functionality to better serve the Credit Union needs.

o Employ project management tools and methodologies in completion of programming projects and initiatives.

Other functions:

o Develop staff on technological knowledge and understanding.

o Participate in Credit Union functions, community events, community volunteer boards and associations.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of information systems project management methods and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Symitar.
  • Knowledge of programming and system integration techniques.
  • Knowledge of current supervisory techniques and methods.
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer related problems.
  • Ability to act independently and make quick decisions.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage, develop, and implement technology related projects.
  • Ability to supervise and coach team members.
  • Ability to work weekends and late nights when needed.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with outside vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.

Compensation: Base starting range: $122,927 to $161,950 annually commensurate with experience.

Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity. Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time occasionally.
