Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Developer / Programmer Analyst 3 to support healthcare data integration, automation, and system modernization initiatives. The selected candidate will develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot programming scripts while supporting data processing, reporting, dashboards, and automated workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot scripts using Python, SAS, R, or similar programming languages.
- Analyze system requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain automated data integration workflows, ETL pipelines, and dashboards.
- Work with structured and semi-structured healthcare, public health, and administrative data.
- Perform database queries, data validation, data matching, and quality checks.
- Support electronic case reporting (eCR/eICR) data ingestion and automated case processing.
- Integrate data from multiple systems and improve data interoperability.
- Prepare technical documentation, code documentation, and system specifications.
- Troubleshoot data processing issues and recommend system improvements.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SAS, Python, R, or similar scripts.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with system integration, dashboards, and automation.
- Minimum 8 years of experience working with structured or semi-structured data and database querying.
- Minimum 8 years of experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and reports.
- Minimum 8 years of experience testing and validating automated data integration processes.
- Minimum 8 years of experience documenting code and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic case reporting (eCR/eICR), EHR, or HIE systems.
- Knowledge of HL7, XML, FHIR, and SNOMED CT standards.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience in public health surveillance systems or healthcare registries.
- Knowledge of data linkage, matching, and automated ETL pipelines.
