Work location: Labor & Delivery / Antepartum / OB OR's & PACU - UPMC Harrisburg
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, day shift
No weekends or holidays
Preferred experience:
Prior experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit, preferably with Antepartum and OB OR/PACU exposure
Experience supporting resident education, physician learners, or academic practice models
Strong background in obstetric emergencies, fetal monitoring, and multidisciplinary simulation
Experience working in a highly matrixed or large healthcare system preferred

Purpose:
The Programmatic Nurse Specialist, a professional registered nurse, has the authority, responsibility and accountability for delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process. In collaboration with the health care team, the Programmatic Nurse Specialist applies expert clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse license.
CPR certification required.

Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
