About the Position

This is a time-limited position (NS-14). Serves as a Compliance Officer by maintaining organized files on all state and federal reports and gathering required documentation for on-site Federal Monitoring Reviews. Assists subgrantees in resolving findings and serves as a liaison between subgrantees, Compliance, and Monitoring (including findings in VROMA). Oversees the review process of subgrantees Single Audit Reports, issues responses to appropriate individuals, and files related documents. Assists in developing and delivering training for subgrantees and coworkers related to compliance policies and procedures. Assists in reviewing and updating the division's Internal Controls and Risk Assessment. Reviews and finalizes subgrant NOFAs for CSBG and LIHEAP programs. Answers, handles, and reports client calls in a timely manner according to established procedures. Conducts monthly and annual board reviews. Reviews Organizational Standards for accuracy and compliance. Conducts Technical Assistance & Training (T&TA), on-site reviews, and desk reviews. Performs similar or related duties as assigned or requested.

What youll need to be Successful

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software, demonstrate integrity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept with a variety of multimedia, ability to adapt quickly, courteous, ability to maintain confidentiality and ability to develop and maintain relationships and emotional intelligence to navigate sensitive compliance conversations with subgrantees.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience. Agency Prefers; Candidate must have four-seven (4-7) years of experience in reviewing subgrants/contracts, compliance and monitoring.
