More specifically, the person in this position assists the Child Support Division as follows: • Reviews cases to determine actions needed to address and/or resolve complaints and inquiries; • Creates and monitors electronic complaint tickets to track complaint resolution; • Communicates with clients directly to provide case information and updates; • Reviews electronic complaint tickets and case action logs in the child support electronic support tracking system to confirm that complaints and inquiries are handled appropriately; • Sends a response to the requestor once actions have been taken; • Is a member of the contract monitoring team to address vendor responsiveness to complaints; • Crosstrained to sort incoming mail and log outgoing child support payments to the State Disbursement Unit; • Maintains the property inventory for the Child Support Division and oversees Division compliance with property audits; • Crosstrained to verify child support case information for MS Lottery; • Reviewed certain flagged cases to determine if paper checks are appropriate; • Notarizes documents for the Child Support Division • Is trained to set up batches for the Child Support Financial Unit and can add employers upon request; • Is cross-trained in Central Registry duties and occasionally assists with incoming interstate packets; • Crosstrained on timekeeping for the Division; • Trained in accessing and analyzing complaints in software logs; • Crosstrained in the Divisions office accounting processes and procedures • Complete special projects as assigned. - Hiring Agency Prefers: 2-3 years of experience working in child support enforcement required; 2-3 years of state government experience strongly preferred; 2-3 years of complaint resolution experience strongly preferred; 1-2 years experience with complaint resolution software strongly preferred; 1-2 years of experience using MAGIC (Mississippis Accountability System for Government Information and Collaboration) strongly preferred; experience using Smartsheet strongly preferred.

About the Position

This individual will handle complaints and inquiries submitted to the Child Support Division through multiple channels and will be cross-trained as appropriate in tasks outside of the complaint resolution position. A major planned area of cross-training is in Division office accounting.
