Description

JOB TITLE: Program Manager V
LOCATION: Remote
DURATION: 9 Months
PAY RANGE: $98 - $108/hr.

TOP 3 SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt engineering, agent orchestration, automation design)
  • Track record of defining new functions, operating models, or organizational capabilities in emerging technology domains
  • Marketing - Advertising ecosystem; 5+ years of program management experience, ideally in technology, marketing, or analytics organizations

Company:
Our client is a Fortune 500 multinational technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA.

Job Description:
  • Marketing Science is a consulting and insights function for advertisers. We help businesses of every size, from local shops to the world's largest brands, understand what's working, why, and what to do next. The team combines expertise in measurement, media strategy, and data science, partnering closely with Product and Sales to help businesses grow on platforms.
  • AI is a company-wide priority, and Marketing Science is at the center of it. We work with product developers to shape how AI-powered recommendations reach marketers, ensuring they're grounded in measurement rigor and real business outcomes. The next chapter is about encoding our expertise into AI products and tools, so every marketer gets Marketing Science-grade intelligence regardless of size or account coverage.
  • MarSci System Intelligence is a newly formed Program within Marketing Science driving this evolution. It has several pods working across AI-guided advertising, holistic marketing intelligence, and human-engaged delivery, with heavy cross-functional dependencies across Marketing Science, Sales, and Product.

The Role:
  • We're looking for a Program Manager who gets genuine satisfaction from making a team hum. You'll serve as the operational backbone of the System Intelligence Program, a shared resource for all pod leads and the Program Lead. You don't need to own the strategy: you need to own the execution infrastructure that makes strategy real.
  • But this isn't a traditional coordination role. Your job isn't just to run the operating rhythm; it's to build a system that outlasts you. By the end of your contract, you'll have designed and piloted AI-driven coordination workflows, documented what stays human-owned and why, and produced a playbook that other teams can adopt.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Track record of driving alignment and outcomes across multiple teams without direct authority: influencing, being firm with requests, and ensuring follow-through
  • History of building structure and process in environments that didn't have it, in ambiguous, fast-moving conditions
  • Strong written and verbal communication: you'll write status reports, playbooks, and stakeholder comms constantly, and influence senior leaders
  • Systems-thinking orientation: you see your job as building the machine, not being it
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact

Typical Day-to-Day in the Role:
  • Stand up and run the Program operating rhythm (syncs, status, action tracking, stakeholder comms)
  • Coordinate cross-pod dependencies: surface conflicts, broker solutions, track resolution
  • Facilitate stakeholder relationships with partner teams in Marketing Science, Sales and Product
  • Design and pilot AI/automation-driven coordination workflows (dependency tracking, status rollups, intake routing)
  • Produce a reusable playbook and system blueprint for other teams to adopt
  • Own and deliver cross-cutting projects that span multiple pods
  • Running projects and execution

What Makes This Role Interesting:
  • The Company is redefining how AI serves businesses at scale. You'll be at the center of that, helping build the operational infrastructure for a program that's turning decades of marketing expertise into AI-native products reaching millions of advertisers.
  • You're not inheriting a playbook. You're writing one from scratch for a brand-new organization, with real latitude to design how cross-functional coordination works in an AI-first world.
  • You'll work directly with senior leaders across Marketing Science, Sales, and Product who are shaping the future of how marketers interact with platforms.
  • The work you build will outlast you. Your success is measured by a system that runs without you, documented well enough for other teams to adopt.

Must-Have Skills:
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt engineering, agent orchestration, automation design)
  • Track record of defining new functions, operating models, or organizational capabilities in emerging technology domains
  • Marketing - Advertising ecosystem

Years of Overall Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of program management experience, ideally in technology, marketing, or analytics organizations
