JOB TITLE: Program Manager, Uber Integration Fleet Operations
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite)
PAY RANGE: $68 - $78/hr.
DURATION: 6 Months

TOP 3 SKILLS:
  • 6+ years of experience in program management, operations, or a related role, with demonstrated ownership of cross-functional programs from inception through launch.
  • Proven ability to write and operationalize SOPs in live, customer-facing environments.
  • Experience managing external partnerships or vendor relationships at the program level.

Job Description:
The Company is bringing its purpose-built robotaxis to Uber's platform in Las Vegas and expanding to Los Angeles making this one of the most visible and consequential partnerships in the autonomous vehicle industry. This Program Manager role sits at the center of that effort, owning the operational layer of the company Uber integration end-to-end. This is a zero-to-one ops role. The SOPs don't fully exist yet. The workflows are being invented. The cross-functional dependencies span Rider Operations, Remote Operations, Mission Control, Engineering, and a counterpart team at Uber. You will be the connective tissue that turns a partnership announcement into a seamless rider experience. If you are energized by ambiguity, move fast without losing rigor, and know how to drive alignment across organizations that don't share a reporting structure this role was built for you.

What You'll Do:
  • Integration Program Leadership
    • Own the operational program plan for the company and Uber integration, tracking workstreams across SOP development, tooling, support APIs, rider experience workflows, and dispatch logic.
    • Serve as the primary FleetOps point of contact with Uber's program management team, coordinating across both organizations to close open actions, finalize joint SOPs, and hit integration milestones.
    • Lead a weekly Ops integration sync, maintaining a live action log and ensuring accountability across the company and Uber stakeholders.
  • SOP Development & Operationalization
    • Build and maintain the full suite of Uber-specific operational SOPs, covering:
      • Async contact handling for Uber issues
      • Rider Support call routing to the correct agent
      • Fault response protocols unique to Uber rides
    • Define and document how Rider Support Team workflows apply to Uber riders including how Remote Operations interacts with Uber's support infrastructure and when direct dispatch versus Uber credits is the right resolution path.
    • Develop the Mission Control workflows for adding and removing Uber-enabled vehicles from service, in coordination with relevant Operations and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Work closely with Rider Operations, Mission Control, TeleOps, and Fleet Response to identify workflow gaps introduced by the Uber integration and drive resolution.
    • Partner with Engineering and Product to complete technical discovery on Uber's support APIs and ensure operational requirements are translated into actionable product asks.
    • Coordinate with the async call automation team to define how Uber ride workflows interact with automated contact systems.
    • Surface risks and dependencies early; maintain a clear, current view of what is blocked, what is at risk, and what needs executive attention.
  • Readiness & Launch
    • Define operational readiness criteria for Las Vegas launch and track progress against each requirement.
    • Coordinate tabletop exercises and dry runs with Ops, Engineering, and Uber counterparts ahead of go-live.
    • Build the post-launch operational review cadence, including KPIs for Uber ride quality, incident response time, and SOP compliance.
  • Execution
    • Monitor daily execution of this partnership, ensuring we consistently perform to our SLAs.

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in program management, operations, or a related role with demonstrated ownership of cross-functional programs from inception through launch.
  • Proven ability to write and operationalize SOPs in live, customer-facing environments.
  • Experience managing external partnerships or vendor relationships at the program level.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills equally comfortable facilitating alignment with an Ops floor lead and presenting a risk summary to a VP.
  • Organized under pressure: you use structured program management practices (action logs, RACI, milestone tracking) as a matter of habit, not just when things get messy.
  • Comfortable operating in environments where the answer is "we haven't figured that out yet" and skilled at moving ambiguity toward clarity.

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience in rideshare, transportation, or autonomous vehicle operations.
  • Familiarity with how support escalation pipelines and async contact workflows operate at scale.
  • Experience with Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent tools for cross-functional program tracking.
  • Prior experience coordinating between a technical Operations team and a third-party platform partner.

BENEFITS SUMMARY: Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated. In addition to base compensation, full-time roles are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Commuter and 401K benefits with company matching.
