    Description

    Tuesday, September 1, 2026 Remote United States Full-time

    Maximus is seeking a Program Manager to lead a Medicaid Provider Services call center program. In this high-visibility leadership role, you will oversee customer support operations regarding provider enrollment, credentialing, and client engagement initiatives that help ensure healthcare providers can effectively serve the Medicaid population.

    You will lead program performance, partner closely with clients and key stakeholders, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to implement the program, influence strategy, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in the growth and success of an important healthcare program.

    This position is primarily remote and requires availability during standard business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET), with occasional evening and weekend support based on business needs. Travel to client location is required during program implementation, with quarterly travel expected thereafter. Eligible business travel expenses are reimbursed.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage delivery of a defined program, ensuring achievement of schedule, cost, quality, compliance, and client satisfaction objectives.
    • Oversee day-to-day program execution, including planning, resource coordination, workload management, and monitoring progress against performance targets.
    • Manage program budgets, forecasting, cost controls, resource utilization, and operational metrics to support effective program performance.
    • Coordinate staffing, inventory and supply chain activities, and operational processes to ensure service delivery and program requirements are met.
    • Apply and enforce established policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
    • Identify, manage, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
    • Lead and develop a small to mid-sized team by assigning work, monitoring performance, providing coaching, and supporting employee development.
    • Build and maintain effective client, vendor, and stakeholder relationships, communicating program status, operational concerns, technology updates, and recommended solutions to support successful outcomes.
    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant professional experience
    • Minimum 2 years of Management experience leading a team
    • Experience with financial forecasting and profit & loss (P&L) management
    • Prior Call Center experience

    Preferred Requirements

    • Prior experience in Medicaid provider enrollment and credentialing, government contracting, call center and back-office operations
    • Prior Call Center CRM and telephony system implementation and maintenance experience
    • Prior Client Management experience
    • Prior Project implementation experience
    • Active PMP Certification

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
