Program Manager
Job SummaryLead the development, planning, execution, governance, and integration of complex programs. Manage budgets, schedules, risks, deliverables, quality, stakeholder communication, and project alignment to achieve measurable organizational outcomes.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of program development, planning, execution, and delivery.
- Develop and manage program budgets, schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Identify funding opportunities and build relationships with executives and stakeholders.
- Ensure program outcomes are accurate, high quality, and fit for purpose.
- Report program status, progress, productivity, issues, risks, success metrics, and quality metrics.
- Resolve problems and roadblocks quickly while escalating significant issues appropriately.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cycle times, effort, delivery time, and administrative costs.
- Serve as a liaison between executives and manage program communications.
- Coordinate and facilitate program meetings.
- Prepare and present program status updates to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
- Oversee projects within the program and ensure alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and support project managers in achieving program outcomes.
- Monitor project health and intervene when projects become off track.
- Provide transparency into program and organizational priorities.
- Manage program-level governance and ensure project compliance with governance processes.
- Maintain visibility at governance meetings and represent the program effectively.
- Review operating policies and develop tactical plans to improve processes and services.
- Identify synergies with other programs and initiatives.
- Align the program with organizational goals and contribute to strategic planning.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare-related industries, technology, systems design, software, and project management practices.
- Validate program deliverables and communicate success criteria and quality metrics.
- Apply continuous improvement practices across the program value chain.
- Manage integration among program components and organization-wide processes.
- Promote shared approaches and participate in quality and data governance initiatives.
Requirements- At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale, complex technology and business projects.
- At least 3 years of program management experience.
- At least 3 years of experience practicing Agile or Lean methodologies.
- Associate degree in business, information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and implementation.
- Knowledge of business requirements development and user acceptance testing.
- Experience with project management, spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
Skill- Strong analytical, decision-making, research, and reporting skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under time constraints.
- Creative problem-solving skills and perseverance when facing resistance or setbacks.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with executives, managers, subject matter experts, and diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare and present clear business documentation.
- Strong planning, organizational, and judgment skills.
- Intermediate computer proficiency and software skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
