    Responsibilities

    • Multi-Project Governance: Lead and orchestrate a portfolio of 5-10 highly complex, concurrent projects from inception through post-implementation

    • Cross-Platform Alignment: Manage integration points and interdependencies across legacy systems, cloud architectures, and modern core insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Salesforce, or proprietary systems)

    • Dependency & Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program-level risks, bottlenecks, and cross-project dependencies to ensure seamless delivery

    • Resource Optimization: Oversee cross-functional resource allocation (developers, business analysts, QA, underwriters, and external vendors) to maximize efficiency and prevent project collision

    • Business Partnership: Act as the primary liaison between IT and key business units (Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance, Product, and Sales/Distribution)

    • Executive Presence: Translate highly technical and complex project details into clear, strategic executive summaries

    • C-Suite Reporting: Regularly present program health, milestone achievements, financial status, and strategic ROI metrics to the executive leadership team (C-suite, VPs, and Steering Committees)

    • Change Management: Champion change management strategies to ensure high adoption rates of new platforms and processes among internal business users and external agent networks

    • P&L Ownership: Manage the overall program budget (capital and operational expenses), ensuring maximum return on investment (ROI)

    • Cost & Value Tracking: Monitor project spend against baselines, identify variances early, and implement corrective actions to keep the program profitable and on-budget

    • Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee third-party system integrators (SIs) and software vendors, ensuring they deliver on time, within scope, and under contracted financial terms

    • High-Quality Delivery: Ensure that all projects within the program adhere to rigorous quality gates, automated testing standards, and security protocols

    • Regulatory Compliance: Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all new product lines, platform features, and data handling processes comply with state insurance departments, NAIC guidelines, and data privacy laws

    • Continuous Improvement: Standardize project delivery methodologies (Agile, SAFe, or Hybrid) across teams to elevate software delivery standards

    • Speed-to-Market: Accelerate the launch of new P&C products and features, directly contributing to premium growth and market competitiveness

    • Value Realization: Identify opportunities to leverage technology for operational efficiency (e.g., straight-through processing in underwriting, claims automation) to lower the combined ratio

    • Future-Proofing: Actively contribute to the strategic roadmap by identifying emerging tech solutions (such as AI, predictive analytics, or telematics) that align with future business growth

    Requirements

    • 7+ years of progressive project and program management experience, including 3+ years dedicated to the P&C Insurance industry

    • Proven track record of simultaneously managing programs of 5-10 projects with budgets exceeding $10M+

    • Demonstrated experience managing complex system integrations and data migration projects

    • Expertise in standardizing project delivery methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, or Hybrid across teams

    • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, including state insurance departments, NAIC guidelines, and data privacy laws

    • Skills in identifying opportunities to leverage technology for operational efficiency, such as straight-through processing and claims automation

    Nice to have

    • Background in P&C insurance processes, including Underwriting, Policy Lifecycle, Claims Processing, Billing, and Reinsurance

    • Hands-on experience with modern core insurance suites such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco

    • Familiarity with digital portal deployments
