Job Summary

In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning within Business Execution. This role is responsible for leading strategic release management and delivery initiatives supporting Digital Wallet programs, and Virtual Card Program (VCP) capabilities.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary release management lead across Visa platforms, coordinating quarterly releases, driving execution across multiple teams, managing dependencies and risks, and serving as a trusted partner across Product, Technology, Operations, and external payment network partners.

This role requires a highly organized execution leader with strong Commercial Card industry expertise and experience successfully leading large, cross-functional initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Release Management

  • Coordinate browser-based, desktop, and mobile application releases
  • Maintain detailed release schedules, milestones, and readiness plans
  • Facilitate release planning, testing coordination, and deployment readiness activities
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for release governance and execution

Program & Project Leadership

  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and strategic priorities

  • Create and maintain:

  • Project Plans

  • Risk Logs

  • Issue Logs

  • Dependency Trackers

  • Status Reporting

  • Drive initiatives from planning through implementation and post-launch support

  • Coordinate cross-functional execution efforts

Commercial Card Program Support

  • Support:

  • Commercial Card Programs

  • Digital Wallet Initiatives

  • Virtual Card Program (VCP)

  • Expense Management Platforms

  • Assess product enhancements, customer impacts, and implementation considerations

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support program delivery

Agile Delivery Coordination

  • Support product teams with:

  • Backlog Planning

  • Prioritization Activities

  • Scrum of Scrums

  • Dependency Management

  • Ensure Jira standards, templates, workflows, and governance requirements are followed

  • Coordinate feature delivery and release readiness across teams

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with:

  • Product Teams

  • Technology Teams

  • Operations Teams

  • Risk & Compliance Groups

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • External Vendors

  • Lead meetings and facilitate decision-making

  • Drive accountability across stakeholder groups

Communication & Reporting

  • Prepare leadership updates and executive reporting
  • Support roadmap reporting and product delivery communications
  • Communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones
  • Present complex information to technical and non-technical audiences

Risk & Governance Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
  • Manage escalations and issue resolution activities
  • Support governance and policy adherence
  • Serve as ECM and GPL policy/procedure SME
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and controls

Continuous Improvement

  • Promote Agile best practices across teams
  • Develop delivery and process improvement recommendations
  • Support team maturity and operational effectiveness
  • Drive improvements in planning, execution, and release processes
