Program Manager - Labor Relations

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Labor Relations Program Manager, you will be empowered to facilitate and manage enterprise-wide programs, projects and initiatives that span the entire business. Your successful management of these significant and complex programs will make a positive impact on our associates and contribute to the overall success of the business. This role will focus on our Labor Relations department and its relationship with our business partners including but not limited to: Field & Corporate HR, Shared Services, and WFSA.

As our work in Labor Relations increases in complexity and our associate population grows, effective management and communication is critical to the success of our programs. In addition to successfully managing multiple programs, you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of tailored communications that are in alignment with the style and framework by which we communicate with associates.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and lead Labor Relations programs, projects, and initiatives, including the planning, analysis, design/development, execution, monitoring and control of defined initiatives.
• Collaborate with multiple levels within the organization to evaluate associate and business requirements.
• Consult with Senior Management in Labor Relations and propose expanded initiatives that align with existing work that will better meet the needs of the organization.
• Interface with cross-functional teams at all levels to successful completion or Program goals.
• Institute measures to monitor Labor processes.
• Collaborate with the other HR Program Managers where appropriate to create consistency in program management processes and applications.
• Other programs and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree required
• HR experience a plus
• Experience leading/managing projects is required; formal training in this area is a plus
• Extremely strong communication skills, including oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills and meeting facilitation skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong attention to detail
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability and willingness to travel, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background verification (to include past employment and education) are required.
