Eleven Recruiting is searching for a Program Manager to drive New Program Introductions (NPI) and other key initiatives for a well-established composite manufacturing company in Southern California, partnering closely with senior program leadership while owning smaller programs end to end. The company designs and fabricates high-precision composite components used in flight control surfaces, supporting advanced military aircraft platforms for major prime contractors. This role sits at the center of getting new and modified products into production owning schedules, budgets, risk, and stakeholder communication across composite manufacturing programs for major aerospace and defense customers.
Responsibilities:- Drive New Program Introductions (NPI) and other cross-functional initiatives from kickoff through production release, owning assigned programs end to end with minimal oversight.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, coordinating across engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to move new and modified products into production.
- Own resolution of critical action items driving issues to closure, not just tracking them.
- Keep program leadership and customers aligned on status, risk, and issues through clear, proactive communication.
- Build and deliver program presentations and briefings to leadership and customers.
- Own and maintain the core program governing documents requirements, statement of work, risk/issues/opportunities register, cost, and schedule.
- Build, maintain, and drive integrated project schedules, coordinating resource loading across departments.
- Track and analyze cost and schedule performance, flagging variances before they become program risks.
- Develop technical reports and program metrics that inform leadership decision-making.
- Take full ownership of smaller programs independently, while partnering with senior Program Managers on larger, more complex initiatives.
Qualifications:Required- BA/BS in business, project management, supply chain, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 4 years of experience in planning or scheduling using MRP software.
- Knowledge of AS9100D requirements.
- Experience with Sage 100 or a similar ERP/MRP system.
- Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within aircraft design and manufacturing.
- Skilled in the MS Office suite, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Writes with clarity and consistency; able to handle correspondence effectively and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a climate of trust and earn the respect of others.
- Premium customer service skills, with the ability to use customer service to gain a competitive edge.
- Ability to effectively cope with competing priorities and analyze problems to generate multiple solutions.
Preferred- Experience in a composite manufacturing environment.
- Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Prior program or project coordination experience supporting DoD or aerospace prime contractor programs.
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
