Job Description

The Technical Program Manager is responsible for leading complex product development initiatives from concept through launch. This role serves as the primary coordinator between customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and project leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities while driving accountability across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs from planning through implementation and launch while ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication, status updates, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and other functional groups.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful execution.
• Facilitate discussions and decision-making among stakeholders to maintain alignment and accountability.
• Track project performance and communicate progress through regular status updates and reviews.
• Manage scope changes, shifting priorities, and evolving business requirements.
• Support product development, testing, implementation, and launch activities.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts related to project execution, communication, and program management processes.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects while effectively balancing priorities and resources.
• Utilize project management tools and methodologies to monitor performance and program health.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Technical Management, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager, Technical Program Manager, or Engineering Manager in a technical environment.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
• Strong project management skills including schedule management, risk management, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and drive results across teams without direct supervisory authority.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with technical product development or engineering-focused organizations.
• Experience working with customers, suppliers, or external stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting product development, implementation, testing, or launch activities.
• Knowledge of project lifecycle management and change control processes.
• Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Monday.com, or similar tools.
• PMP certification or formal project management training preferred.
• Experience within manufacturing, technology, industrial, aerospace, transportation, or other technical industries.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in evolving environments.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization and operational excellence.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
