Program Manager, Energy and Building Automation - Denver

Job Summary:

Coordinates standard and non-standard maintenance of facilities, exteriors, and grounds. Provides guidance on maintenance of buildings and equipment through the application of facilities management practices, services, and schedules or conducts repairs of facilities and amenities. Follows standard protocols for the disposal of materials including general waste, regulated/hazardous materials, or other applicable contents, and maintains appropriate licensure or permits for relevant regulatory parties. Coordinates safety training for the inspection of and preparation for drills and facilities operations. Monitors and flags costs to ensure that budgets are met and improved upon in projects across the facilities management and that timelines of projects are maintained. Conducts standard and non-standard space and occupancy planning. Collaborates with technical support teams to provide technical support for relevant technologies within the facilities.

• Monitors the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and amenities by: using working knowledge of facilities management practices to proactively monitor the resolution of mechanical building problems (e.g., energy management, waste management, asbestos abatement, managing space moves and moving services, planning, space planning, and emergency management); collaborating with facility engineers to monitor and ensure the completion of repairs on building equipment, tools, machinery, and amenities to ensure they are in working condition; and working alongside others to resolve standard and nonstandard preventive maintenance requests to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environmental work area.
• Supports compliance efforts by: following general application of standard protocols and regulations according to Title 22, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to ensure the disposal of pharmaceutical, and hazardous waste (e.g., solid waste, biohazardous) materials is completed accurately; and independently interpreting broad guidelines to ensure required licenses and operating permits are maintained across the team in accordance with local, state, and federal regulation.
• Maintains buildings and campus grounds by: coordinating standard and non-standard landscaping services with vendors to maintain the upkeep of grounds and public sidewalks within a specified area; and providing guidance and coordinating with landscape services to ensure service-level requirements are met.
• Supports safety, inspection, and emergency preparation by: leading training with some assistance from others to coordinate and plan drills according to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Life Safety Code, and other regulations that may apply, with local authorities and completing reports based on drill outcomes; and facilitating planned and unplanned inspection tours to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operation of the facility.
• Supports facility improvement and budget management by: monitoring and flagging costs associated operating program budget for improvement projects; coordinating with function stakeholders on tasks related to facility, renovation, and operational programs so that buildings are maintained in a safe and operationally effective condition; resolving maintenance projects under the limited direction of others such as designing, remodeling, renovating, and equipping facilities with capabilities to reduce costs and improve service; and analyzing semi-complex metrics related to the work and timeliness of maintenance projects and track the project status.
• Contributes to technical support by: providing support on standard and nonstandard issues including infrastructure equipment (e.g., infrastructure equipment, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning [HVAC] equipment and facilities, video conferencing equipment, telephone, and network installation) in partnership with technical teams for network problems; and independently interpreting broad guidelines to test newly installed machines and equipment to ensure contracting specifications are fulfilled.
• Supports vendor and contract management by: working with internal and external vendor contacts under the direction of others to review products and invoices, obtain bids, and collect details to evaluate the performances of services; working with various internal contacts to clarify business needs, develop services/project outcomes, and identify vendor services related to operations and other essential services; and tracking vendor performance for multiple contracts using specific, core metrics to ensure adherence to contractual provisions, regulatory specifications, and compliance with the organizations policy independently.
