The Program Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting daily operations, classroom quality, and staff development. Working closely with the Director, this role ensures classrooms run smoothly, teachers are supported, families are engaged, and licensing standards are consistently met. This position helps create a stable, high-quality, and well-supported learning environment for children and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Coverage:
Support daily staffing, classroom coverage, and ratio compliance (Title 22)
Assist with scheduling, transitions, and daily program flow
Ensure classrooms are prepared, safe, and fully stocked each day
Communicate operational needs to the Director
Staff Support & Coaching:
Provide real-time classroom support and teacher coaching
Assist with onboarding and training of new staff
Conduct classroom walkthroughs and support instructional quality
Support staff communication, teamwork, and accountability
Family Engagement:
Serve as a supportive point of contact for families
Communicate daily updates, reminders, and concerns
Support tours and family interactions as needed
Help strengthen positive school-family relationships
Program & Curriculum Support:
Support curriculum implementation across classrooms
Help ensure developmentally appropriate practices are followed
Support classroom environment quality and organization
Administrative Support
Assist with documentation, files, and compliance records
Support incident reports, logs, and required paperwork
Help prepare for licensing visits and staff meetings
Maintain organization of shared spaces and supplies
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Early Childhood Education or leadership support role
Strong understanding of Title 22 licensing and ratios
Knowledge of child development (ages 0–6)
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Ability to coach and support staff in a positive, professional way
CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
ECE coursework or permit preferred
