Summary:This role will lead New Product Introduction for customer and dealer-facing Connectivity Solutions (Cellular, Sat, Wi-Fi, BT, UWB, etc.) in Cat Technology. Responsibilities include generating functional requirements from customer (VOC), dealer (VOD), business (VOB), and regulatory (VOR) input, and aligning them with market and industry trends. The role also ensures consistency between marketing, system, and hardware requirement documents, working closely with enterprise technical leaders.
Responsibilities- Define functional connectivity requirements.
- Collaborate with potential suppliers and define technology roadmaps.
- Drive engineering execution and coordinate stakeholder communication.
- Gather and refine customer connectivity and feature requests.
- Guide requests through development and ensure timely delivery.
- Work closely with client Technology and client Digital teams on enterprise architecture.
- Implement new technologies and evaluate emerging technology solutions.
- Lead cross-functional teams through meetings, workshops, requirements definition, and engineering execution.
Qualifications- 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge and experience with connectivity/telematics product line, on-board software, Gateway, and Platform.
- Knowledge and experience within Heavy Equipment product development.
- Knowledge and experience with on-machine technology (Grade Control, Remote Control, Autonomy).
- Knowledge and awareness of IoT Standards, regulations, and regional requirements.
- Familiarity and experience in wireless technology i.e., cellular, Satellite, Wi-Fi/B.T., Positioning, etc.
- Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
Skills- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other business units, customers, and suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments.
- Proven history of High Velocity Program Execution & Risk Management.
- Electronic component, information systems, and machine systems development experience and knowledge.
- Ability to communicate to VP Level Stakeholders.
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $63.00 - $64.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
